SABIC's million ton ethylene project is scheduled to start in September.
SABIC's 1million ton/year ethylene project in Jubail is scheduled to start production in September this year. This ethylene plant is part of Jubail United Petrochemical Company. SABIC is also building a 10000 ton polyethylene plant with an annual output of 80 tons, which is attached to petrokemya (also known as Arabian Petrochemical Company), a crystalline thermoplastic resin. After different attachments are selected according to the products, it can carry out experiments such as stretching, tightening, bending, peeling, tearing, puncturing, bursting, shearing, low cycle fatigue, etc. Jubail United Petrochemical Company will eventually have two ethylene glycol units with an annual output of 600000 tons and a linear alpha olefin unit with an annual output of 150000 tons.
